WHAT IS AIR ROASTED COFFEE?
Air roasted coffee is roasted in a fluidbed of hot ai. Traditional coffee roasting is done by tossing the bean in a hot drum over an open flame.
Air roasting coffee produces a cleaner roast faster and is easier to duplicate for consistency. This delivers a smooth cup of coffee that is less bitter. It is also low acidic which has been known to reduce heartburn.
Taste
Air roasted coffee provides a smooth, low bitter taste. This is because air roasting coffee seperates and extracts the chaff (skin on the outer shell of the coffee bean) in the roasting process. Chaff is what causes coffee to be acidic. Traditional coffee roasting breaks down the chaff combining it to the roast.
